Spirited Driving In My ‘98 Spec Integra Type R
Recently sold my E46 M3 and purchased a 1998 JDM Integra type R. Went to do some spirited driving in the afternoon. I decided to just enjoy my drive and not do any aggressive shifting, hard turning or anything along those lines.
Engine is 100% stock, the only modification is a Fujitsubo catback exhaust.

Here’s a video of my car doing a standing still backfire. It is so loud you can see me holding my ears because it sounds like gunshots. I also had a chance to do an uphill tunnel run up in the mountains. The roads weren’t smooth, it was quite rough. This exhaust setup is what I ran for about a week. It was a Supersprint non resonated X-pipe. It was so brutally loud that at 2500 RPM it was the same loudness as my current setup with the stock midpipe. Not only that, it made my car significantly slower. Ended up selling the X-pipe & going back to stock. However… it did make an exhaust note that I’ve never heard any M3 sound alike… Enjoy.

It’s been 7 months since I drove my car, and believe me this pull in the tunnel I did first night back was amazing. I haven’t downshifted in forever so it’s kinda sloppy in the video. Ignore the DSC, brake, and TPMS light, I got new tires and it messed with my alignment. It’s been fixed now. Shoutout to my girl for recording this🤟🏽 #E46M3 #E46

You need downpipes to go map 2 correctly. I run map 5 with my 540 with muffler delete and i find that runs best. When you put higher octane or does pulls in boost weather map 5 definitely hits harder.

Yes there’s done around 2.5k rpm, but when you hit 3k it goes away.

It’s the steel version. With stock headers I personally don’t like the sound.

RKtunes, it feels more aggressive and I get more power. Buildjournal is more customizable. It really depends on what you want

you have to tune it after flow altering mods. When you play with the vanos mapping you can make more power with the xpipe. That’s the best sound you can get. It’s a pure sound that is like and instrument.
